Then shit got weird.
I never thought I’d give birth at home, become a childbirth instructor, homeschool my kids, write a novel in two weeks, become a life-coach, get separated and build a house next door. I never thought I’d own a fleet of miniature inbred chickens or be enslaved by ducks.
There have been many times in my life when I had no clue what I was doing or what would happen next or why the freaking hell things just couldn’t be easier. I’ve always been interested in so many things, which is really fun until you realize you’re trying to do them all at once and your child has knotted his pants to the seat and someone needs to use the bathroom and maybe instead of working on your novel you’ll take a picture with a chicken on your head. The challenge is real.
I believe in creating sacred space for ourselves, for treating ourselves with the same compassion we extend to others as we navigate our lives. So often we listen to the inner critic (that grouchy asshat) instead of cutting ourselves a break or giving time to ANY of the other voices that we’ve squelched in order to optimize the efficiency of the lives we’re currently living. I didn’t get a coach until I was becoming a coach, and that was eye-opening. It’s amazing how much change can happen when you have someone to hold space for you, to listen and call you on your shit. It’s also amazing being on the other side — helping people navigate their way to a more expansive place, where they can figure out who they are and what they want to do with their lives — and then go for it.
As a Certified Martha Beck Life Coach and a SoulCollage® facilitator I help multi-passionate, creative people get their shit together and figure out how to celebrate their diverse, crazy lives. I help people who feel stuck step out on the journey to finding a totally awesome life. As an experienced homeschooling mom, I can also help people navigate the confusing waters of child rearing and home schooling without going bat-shit crazy.
I’d love to work with you! Please check out my services page and feel free to contact me with questions or to discuss whether coaching is right for you.
