Go For the 4-Day Win
Common knowledge has it that it takes 21 days to make a habit. But you don’t need to wait that long to taste success. Using something called the 4-Day-Win, thought up by Martha Beck, you can get yourself on the right track much quicker.
The gist: pick something, and do it for 4 days. If you’ve done something once, it’s a fluke. Two days could be luck. Three days, it’s just something you’ve done for a few days. But four days? You’ve got this.
You can keep going, of course, and really cement that habit into your life. But four days is enough to turn you from someone who doesn’t do something into someone who does.
