Journal Post: Write from a different perspective
Today's journal post lets you pretend you're a famous actor without actually having to get on stage or take any head shots. It's all about trying out something new, being your movie-star self, or taking on a different persona.
Think of a situation, say, Thanksgiving dinner with your entire family and not enough wine. Usually those situations go pretty much the same, and we end up playing the same role we've always had and getting mired in the same dynamics.
Now, invent a character. Be someone ELSE. Describe, in the first person, how the event goes from your new perspective. When you're done, put it away for a few days and then reread it, and see what you can learn from it.
